Platonicons is the name I gave to a family of single faced solids that I discovered in 2017. This discovery followed that of the polycon family earlier that year. Like the polycons, the Platonicons are developable rollers.  The uniqueness of the Platonicon family is that each of its members circumscribes one of the five Platonic solids.  Some of the Platonicons exhibit rolling behaviors not previously seen among the developable rollers. By choosing the slope of the surface upon which they are rolling, they can be encouraged to exhibit modes of rolling that do, or do not, develop their whole surface.
